Smart Little Shit!

When they said dogs were smart who knew they were so right. I have a 3 tier stand in the kitchen that I keep the dogs treats, shampoo, etc on. Well on the bottom shelf was a bag of rawhide chews......I have learned to face all the bags toward the wall because Cody will steal treats if I don't, something I never had to worry about with Attie.

Guess I wasn't as smart as I thought. Today Ashley called because she couldn't figure out why Attie wanted to be outside so much.....very unusual for her....but Ashley didn't think much of it and went about her business. Pretty soon she hears Attie barking and when Ashley goes to look out in the backyard what does she see? She sees Attie chasing Cody around the backyard......and what is hanging from Cody's mouth? The bag of rawhide treats! The little shit took the whole bag through the doggy door and out into the backyard! He was in doggy treat heaven until Attie decided that she wanted some too. Cody obviously didn't feel like sharing so he was running from her with the whole bag. When Ashley called his name he immediately dropped the bag with that "wasn't me" look.

Never a dull moment in my house.....at least not as long as Cody is there : )
